11:30 am - Katra Mosque
Visit the interesting historical site, this former caravanserai, mosque and the tomb of Nawab Murshid Quli Khan, the first Nawab of Bengal, was built in 1724 by Murad Farash Khan. It was built between 1723 and 1724, by Khan as the Murshid Quli Khan on reaching old age, expressed his urge to build his tomb adjacent to a mosque. So, he entrusted the responsibility of Khan, his trusted follower who was an architect, to construct the mosque. It is one of the largest caravanserais in the Indian subcontinent. This prominent historical landmark stands as a significant specimen of Mughal Architecture.

The trip starts at 10 am in the morning with a scenic and peaceful drive to Birbhum district through the rural areas of West Bengal, which are home to quaint villages and verdant fields. When you reach Tarapith, a small village in Birbhum, we straight take you to the mystical Tarapith. One of the 51 Shakti- Peethas in India, this temple is the home to Maa Tara and has many legends and stories revolving around it. Bakreswar Temple- One of the 51 Shakti-Peethas and also Nalhateshwari Temple, the sacred Shakti-Peetha Shrine, which is dedicated to Goddess Kali, is one of the 51 Shakti-Peethas in India. Legend has it that Goddess Sati's throat fell here. Then pray in the Nalhateshwari Temple, another Sacred Shakti-Peetha Shrine, dedicated to Goddess Kali, where it is believed that anyone who goes there & worships wholeheartedly certainly gets all his desires fulfilled. On the 2nd day start with visiting the Kiriteshwari temple. About 300 years old, this resplendent temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. It is said that the "kirit" or front part of the skull of Sati had fallen in this temple that stands as sacred sentinel to Goddess Dakshayani Sati. 11:00 am - Tarapith Temple
At 9.00 drive down to Tarapith Temple. Also known as Maa Tara Temple, Tarapith Temple is a key attraction in the city, soaked in mythological stories. It is one of the 51 Shakti- Peethas in India.
The Tarapith Temple is situated in the small village Tarapith of West Bengal state. The current temple was situated in 1225 bengali year, around 300 years ago. The temple is built with 4 chala & its height is 64 feet. The designs are evidence that though the British Rule the devotees kept their heritage unchanged.

1:30 pm - Bakreswar Temple
Bakreswar Temple is a shakti peetha and is a major pilgrimage spot for devotees.
The local Shiva deity's name is the source of the word Bakreswar. According to legend, Indra insulted Ashtabakra Muni (also known as Subrata Muni) during the marriage ceremony of Lakshmi and Narayana in the Satya Yuga. Ashtabakra Muni, which translates to "six crooked crippled sages," was so furious that he became physically handicapped. After practicing tapasya (meditation) here for many years, Ashtavakra Muni received a blessing from Lord Shiva. The location is also well-known for being one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, which are locations of temples honoring the original Shakti. For Hindus, it is an important place of pilgrimage.

Nalhateshwari Temple- Sacred Shakti-Peetha Shrine
Dedicated to Goddess Kali, Nalhateshwari Temple is one of the 51 Shakti-Peethas in India, it is believed that Goddess Sati's throat or Nala fell here.
A picturesque place with plateaus all around it, the home of Maa Nalateswri has a lot of resemblance with other famous peethas, Kamakhya & Kalighat. The goddess is revered here as Bhagobidhata-Nalateswri, Devi Parvati or even Kalika. As the legend goes, in the 252th Bengali year (Bongabdo), Kamdevâ (the Hindu god of love & desire) had dreamt about the existence of the Goddess Sati's throat & discovered the larynx in the Nalahati forest.
